Cost of Delivery
Sofa deliveries are free up to 50 miles from HX1. Any further a field delivery will be deemed to fall outside our Free Delivery pledge. They are either palletised or delivered on a 2 man service by third party couriers. The customer will be charged the £119.99 for this sevice. Once the order has been processed it will be paid separatley and prior to delivery. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with customer services – 01422 351096.
Delivery lead times are only a guide. We do intend to deliver sofas as quickly as possible but manufacturer lead times can vary frrom anything between 4 to 10 weeks. If it is any longer you will be informed in writing and kept updated by our customer services.
At present, we are unable to ship items to the following UK postcode ranges: any AB, FK, IV, PH (Scotland), BT (Northern Ireland), GY (Guernsey), JE (Jersey), TR21-25 (Scilly Isles), IM1-9 (Isle of Man), PO (Isle of Wight), ZE (Shetlands), KW, HS, IV3-5, KA27, KA28, PA20-78 and PH31-44.

All Sofa deliveries are only to ground floor. Access from the main road to the designated room needs to be free of any obstacles and other hazards. The safety of all concerned will be paramount and if the delivery driver deems it unsafe then he has the right to refuse delivering the goods. It will be thereupon the customer to either take the risk or arrange another delivery date with the staff at the call centre. Redelivery costs will be charged in full.
Items with damaged packaging must be returned immediately or the delivery note must be signed with ‘Damaged Goods’. All returns must be communicated within 14 days of delivery via Email and agreed in writing. Customers are responsible for costs to return goods – refer to cost of delivery clause. Any item that has been unpacked or used will not be exchanged or refunded unless their is a manufacturers fault. In such a case the seller reserves to right to opt for either of the options. In all cases photograhic evidence will be required.This does not affect your Statutory Rights granted by English Law.
All Sofa orders must be cancelled within 14 days of purchase. Any cancellation after this period will incurr a 40% fee which will be calculated of the Sale order and a £60 admin/ handling charge. Cancellations must be requested via Email to Sales@the-factoryshop.net and be acknowledged by the seller with a return confirmation email. This does not affect your Statutory Rights granted by English Law.
The seller can not be held responsible for any damage to customers property, whether it is a fixed or a non fixed item, whilst delivering the furniture. Customer must claim on their own domestic insurance. Very similarly if the customer or a third party is hurt in the process whilst helping then he or she must claim their recompensense from the purchaser. A delivery person also hurt in the process will be required to seek remedy from the customer. This does not affect your Statutory Rights granted by English Law.
All sofas come with the standard 1 year manufacturers guarantee. This covers you for any defective material or substandard workmanship. In all cases you will be required to send a written explanation of the images and it will be ultimately the manufacturer who will decide the appropriate action. This does not affect your Statutory Rights granted by English Law.
